What happens if my camper is dismissed early?
If a camper exhibits inappropriate behavior during camp or gets a fever or any other symptoms of a contagious illness, it may be necessary for them to be dismissed early. This will be determined by the outlined criteria in the RADcamp Guidelines. The camper's Pick-Up Adults will be called to come pick up as soon as possible. The camper will be kept with the Coordinator or Assistant Coordinator until the Pick-Up Adult arrives.
Do I get a refund if my child gets sick and can't come to camp?
For short-term illnesses (less than 3 days), no refund will be given. For illnesses that keep a camper from 3 or more consecutive days of camp, a refund will be given for the days the camper missed. Partial-days (a day that a camper was sent home mid-day, for example) will not be refunded.
I just got put on the waitlist. How can I make sure my child gets in?
Our full waitlist policy is noted in the RADcamp Guidelines. The waitlist works on a simple first-come, first-serve basis. When you turn in your camper's registration packet, you will be notified of your position on the waitlist. Whenever a camper is admitted from the waitlist, you will be emailed with your updated status.
If you're open to it, you may ask to be a partial-week camper, half-day camper, or ask to be put in a different session. Each option's availability may differ, so email radcamp@unm.edu to see if we can find any way to get your camper onboard!
